About The Artist

"Birthdays are nature's way of telling us to eat more cake"

I wasn't always elbow deep in batter...

switching out from illustration arts in college to tattoo artist for several years my love for children prompted me to become a pre-school teacher were I taught art, science and biology. I had a few side jobs such as face painting and making cakes during that time and as it became more busy for me I made the decision to become a full time cake artist, allowing me to do something I enjoy and spend more time with my family. Making cakes was the right fit for me and I believe I am able to do what I do because of my family's history of baking.

My grandmother and mother both loved keeping busy in the kitchen making sweet and savory dishes for their families and social gatherings, showing their love with a pinch and a dash.

I remember my siblings and I watching our mother hovering over a newly baked cake..piping bag in hand fluidly creating roses and scalloped edges on one of our many birthday cakes.  I still use her piping tips, rolling pin and icing spreader on the cakes I make today, and in doing so I pass on a little history and joy.
